TRELMA GmbH is the controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy.
TRELMA is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer under Article 37 GDPR or section 38 BDSG. The Managing Director is responsible for data protection. For any question about your personal data, write to info@trelma.com.
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit it, Cloudflare automatically processes technical data that your browser sends: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website, keep it secure and protect it against attacks.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and working website, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and does not build visitor profiles. The fonts are hosted on this website, so no data is sent to font providers.
When you contact us through the contact form or by email, we process the details you give us: first and last name, email address, organisation (optional), subject and message. We use them only to answer your enquiry. Form submissions are sent to our mailbox by email and are not stored on the website.
To protect the form from spam bots, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile checks technical signals from your browser to tell people and bots apart. It does not use advertising cookies.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and protecting our form from abuse, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where your enquiry concerns a contract with us or steps before entering into one, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
We keep enquiries for 12 months after our last contact with you and then delete them, unless they lead to a business relationship, in which case section 5 applies.
If you work for one of our clients, we process your name and business contact details to deliver our consulting, training and talent access services. Legal basis: performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We keep these records for the duration of the engagement and then for the periods required by German commercial and tax law (section 257 HGB and section 147 AO), normally six to ten years.
If you attend one of our training courses, we process your name, employer, email address, training completion records and evaluation results to deliver the course and issue certificates. Where a course is delivered together with our training partner Jee (UK), the partner receives the delegate data it needs and acts as a separate controller. Legal basis: performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We keep training records for three years from the training date.
TRELMA receives candidate profiles from its talent access partner in East Africa. Our Candidate Privacy Notice explains how we use candidate data, who we share it with and how long we keep it: trelma.com/candidate-privacy-notice
We share personal data only where necessary, and only with:
We have data processing agreements with our service providers where the law requires them. We do not sell personal data.
Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States. Transfers to Cloudflare rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Where any other transfer outside the European Economic Area takes place, we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on the Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask for a copy of the safeguards by writing to info@trelma.com.
You have the right to:
Right to object (Article 21 GDPR): where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interests, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@trelma.com. It is free of charge. We respond without undue delay and within one month. For complex requests we may extend this by up to two further months, and we will tell you within the first month if we need to. We may ask you to confirm your identity where we have reasonable doubt about it.
You can lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The authority responsible for TRELMA is:
Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information)
Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 22
20459 Hamburg
Germany

You can also complain to the authority in the EU or EEA country where you live or work.
We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We protect the personal data we hold with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. TRELMA is implementing an integrated management system in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO/IEC 27001 and is preparing for certification.
We may update this policy when our services, our website or the law change. The current version is always on this page.
